Engage Sustainability Course for Fall 2018 starts October 8

10 classes on Mondays from Oct. 8 – Dec 10 from 12:00 - 1:30 pm

Sustain OC accelerates sustainability through innovation, collaboration and education. To help achieve that mission, we offer ENGAGE, a course of study designed for professionals who interact with their sustainability officers and/or for those who are attempting to establish sustainability practices at their organizations…
let’s ENGAGE! 

This ten-class course will cover all the fundamentals of sustainability and its economic impact with some unique attributes:

Speaker Series: Many of these sessions will feature a current Sustainability Officer offering a practical perspective on the field and how it fits in an organization

Sustainability Officer Roundtable: students will be able to participate in the much acclaimed Sustain OC Sustainability Officer Roundtable

Field Trips: Visit OC Organizations to see first-hand efforts in sustainability

Presentation: Students may have the opportunity to present to the Sustain OC community

Accreditation: Certificates of Completion awarded at final class or special function

Course Summary:

Format: lecture; group exploration; case studies; speaker series

Ideal students include: corporate, government, academic and non-profit professionals who want a basic understanding of Sustainability and to engage in the OC sustainability community. Individuals at all levels are invited to apply. This could mean, at a large organization, a professional interacting with the sustainability staff to facilitate that interaction or, at smaller organization, a professional looking to integrate sustainability measures into the organization.
