Efforts to meeting the increasing energy needs of Orange County are undergoing a shift, with an objective of reducing energy use where possible while building and maintaining a more resilient, rugged and reliable power grid that utilizes a higher blend of renewable energy sources. Technology and innovation are already providing solutions that are being implemented, but there is much more to be done. New breakthroughs are needed along with assistance in deploying the many breakthroughs that have already been achieved. Sustain OC looks to support cleantech and clean energy firms, including start-ups, that can contribute to this effort, and has formed a working group where those firms and others with expertise in this sector can collaborate on accelerating clean energy solutions. Complete the online form below for more information regarding the process for joining the Sustain OC Energy Working Group:

Sustain OC is the Orange County partner for Energize California, one of four California Energy Commission–funded Regional Energy Innovation Clusters. The program spans four counties: Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara.

Energize California has two primary purposes:

  • Help bring new clean energy technologies to market that reduce ratepayer costs; and
  • Connect clean energy stakeholders across the region in order to strengthen the sector.
  • Are you a clean energy startup with a business presence in one of the above-mentioned four counties? Please visit the program website and apply to our Innovators Program. Energize California can help connect you with the resources you need to accelerate your technology – from mentors to prototype labs to investors – across our four-county ecosystem.
  • Are you involved in the Southern California or Central Coast clean energy sector as an investor, industry partner, governmental entity, academic, subject matter expert, utility professional, service provider, conference organizer, non-profit, member of the media, or clean energy enthusiast? Please visit the program website to sign up for updates and submit items to the Energize California calendar.
